I’m proud to announce that last night, at the annual AIA East
Tennessee Design Awards, the Princess Theatre Arts & Entertainment Complex
was given an honor award for historic preservation.
The projects were judged by three accomplished architects in
New York City, and on the Princess Theatre they noted the professionalism and
technical skill in the restoration of the facade; the use of the two adjacent
buildings to accommodate modern-day space needs; and the restoration of the
auditorium, specifically the paint scheme.
