Miller is a Native American of the Mohican tribe.  His music is a blend of rock, country, folk, with Native American flutes and drums mixed in.  He performs his own original music along with covers such as Folsom Prison Blues, Melissa, and Wild Horses.  His own hits include Reservation Road, My People, and Trail of Freedom.

Along with winning three Grammys, Miller has also collaborated with various musical artists and has toured with popular musicians.  His first big break came in the early nineties when he opened up for Tori Amos for her Under the Pink Tour.  He has also performed with Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam on several occasions, and with The BoDeans, Richie Havens, and Arlo Guthrie.  Miller has also co-written music with Nancy Griffith, Peter Rowan, and Kim Carnes.

For years, Bill Miller’s music has moved audiences around the world. He’s an icon of the Native American music community, having won 3 Grammys. Bill is an accomplished artist whose paintings are exhibited nationwide. Yet, in the view of singer, composer, flutist, painter and storyteller Bill Birdsong Miller, he’s just getting started. Beyond music, Bill is an accomplished painter whose work has appeared in The National Museum of the American Indian (Smithsonian Institution), the Barbara Able Gallery in Santa Fe, the Trickster Gallery in Chicago, and the American Indian Community House Gallery in New York.
